2 FiltersFilters narrow email verification, the person match, the AI grade, work email, phone and company signals. The free stages always cover the whole list — engagement is what the filter reads.
3 StagesNormalise, domain intelligence and engagement always run first, free.
Verify email addresses — a deliverability verdict for every address (valid, risky, catch-all, invalid, disposable, role). Syntax, disposable domains and domains with no mail server are settled free; the rest go to an SMTP verifier, catch-alls and unknowns to a second one. No mail is ever sent. An address checked in the last 30 days is free. Person match then skips undeliverable addresses.Person match — look each business address up for a public professional profile (paid per lookup; addresses already looked up are free). EU and UK contacts keep company-level fields only unless Settings → Privacy records a legitimate-interest basis.AI grade — grade every contact A–D against one of your rubrics.Work email (A/B grades) — for A and B grades who signed up with a personal or shared address (Gmail, info@…) and whose person was matched, look for their verified work address: four finders in cost order, and every address goes through the email verifier before it counts (catch-all stays “risky”, never valid). It is kept in its own field and never replaces the subscriber’s address. About $0.05 a contact at most; an address looked up before is free. One contact is counted against the plan per valid address found — a miss costs nothing. EU/UK contacts without a recorded legitimate-interest basis are skipped.Phone (opt-in, A/B grades) — off by default. For A and B grades whose person was matched with a public profile URL, look for a business phone number by that URL alone (B2B: never by name, address or the subscriber’s email): a LinkedIn phone database first, then a verified-mobile finder. Every number is validated number-only before it counts — direct lines only (mobile, landline, VoIP); toll-free, premium and stale numbers are refused, and a number without a country code is never guessed. The number is sealed; the app shows its country, line type and last two digits. About $0.02 a contact at most; a number looked up before is free. One contact is counted against the plan per number found — a miss costs nothing. EU/UK contacts without a recorded legitimate-interest basis are skipped.Company signals: ads, hiring, news, reviews — for each business company on the list, whether it runs ads on Meta, Google or LinkedIn right now, read from the public ad libraries (an ad counts only when it links to the company’s own site), and if you pick them, whether it is hiring, in the news or reviewed on Trustpilot. About $0.007 a company at most for the ad libraries, about $0.024 with all six; the estimate below has the exact ceiling. A company any workspace checked in the last 14 days is free. Personal addresses have no company and are skipped.
